On the site, I can’t find answers to organisational questions….

Where are your offices ?

Who is your management ?

Who is on your staff ?

Are you a subsidiary of any other organisation ?

Who checks the nook content before allowing it to go online ?

Are you profit or non-profit ?

How do you get funds ?

Why isn’t this information on the site ?

Etc.

Supportive and interested….

it would be nice if this sort of info was available, for prospective newcomers in particular, there really isn’t any info other than it’s run by the Leader.

  2. 2 vivavoce

now that i’ve said that, i’ve just realised there is some info available if you look at the bottm of the nook home page

They call me ‘glenira’, probably because I am a bit like an IRA member frustrated, angry and exploding (I am not the only one in Glen Eira). But I must come to the defense of Nook.

Yes it has been established by Leader, but it is cyberspace and you and I can use it the way we want to.

    Organisational structure? I hope none.

Office? I think it is at someones home, Home Business!

Who checks? Probably, the Administrator of the site at their Home Business. It could perhaps be you or me if we ask them. ‘diggy’ would you volunteer to be an administrator for Nook? Seems like an ideal job for you, as long as we do not pay rates or charges or salary to you, you can have it.

Management? DOWN WITH MANAGEMENT! This is an invention of industrial revolution and capitalist heaven. I prefer the Village structure, we organise ourselves, a market, a civic centre, or even a church.

Profit? Someone profits from the exchange of views all the time. But money wise I hope not.

Funds? Now this is tricky one. Community Chest or Charity?

BUT YES ‘DIGGY’ IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS. ALTHOUGH IS IT IMPORTANT?

I can just see Admin sitting back with a slight smile as the experts try to figure them out. I liked gleneiraratepayer’s analysis - obviously puts a lot of thought into answers…
